When the producers of the Tutankhamun Exhibition embarked on the Launch of this once in a lifetime event they knew that it had to be unique.  One of the names considered was Pro Light & Sound as we are renowned for adding the extra “magic” that makes events memorable.

Stav Hatzipantelis – Special Events, discussed in depth with the organizers and stake holders what vision they had for this momentous occasion.  Nothing was to be left to chance as Australia’s A-List celebrities and personalities would be attending along with high profile politicians and diplomats from the US and Egypt.

“We decided to make the night unique for this event as Melbourne Museum often hosts Functions and Events in the space… it is a fantastic venue that can be transformed with the right styling to suit almost any event.  Gold was the obvious theme, but unlike a uniform colour throughout – I suggested textures would be more in keeping with the Egyptian theme.  We used LED fixtures, Mac700 and City Colours to light up the interior, banners and features in the foyer and entrance.  There is plenty of steel and straight lines and so we used various shades of gold to soften the contemporary steel and glass look.  I think this is what won over the decision makers – being able to offer ideas on how our understanding of the technology can bring about their vision to enhance the old world look and make it blend with the modern architecture.”

The proof was there in plain sight for all to see and immerse into the Egyptian theme as Stav wielded his Midas glove over the entire building - inside and out - and all turned to gold!
